  Many people will have seen the Windows Seven advertisments released by Microsoft which state it works faster, shuts down faster, and boots up faster. I got my hands on a Sony Vaio laptop running Windows 7 last week and decided to test the faster booting up claim against a Compaq laptop running Windows Vista Ultimate.

Starting both laptops at the same time you may be surprised to know the Compaq laptop withe the Vista Ultimate booted up and was ready to go several seconds before the Sony Vaio running Windows 7, even more so when you consider the brand new Sony laptop has only the factory installed software on it whilst the Compaq is two years old and has numerous different programs installed that start at boot up.

 Toshiba's Satellite L450D-11V 15.6-Inch Notebook has Toshiba Face Recognition which is a specialised software that takes a digital snapshot of your face to create a unique password; by digitally mapping key features of the users face, Your face then becomes the password to login; there is no need to enter a numerical or word password. All users have their own secure face recognition secure access.

Older Toshiba laptops have  a bios and user password that can be set by the owner and should they be unfortunate enough to forget their password they will be locked out of the laptop. The Toshiba Face Recognition software has to be a major improvement on the old way of having to enter and remember a user password. Toshiba's Face Recognition software will stop owners getting locked out of this Toshiba Satellite L450D-11V Notebook which has to be a good feature to have.
